I’m jumping back into the world of RSS feeds. I had to give them up a few months ago because, quite frankly, it got far too out of hand and too difficult for me to stay on top of. I’m starting from scratch again, and adding feeds only after careful consideration of the content from that site. I have a decent list so far, but I’m looking to add more. So, my question to you… what is your favorite RSS feed?
Are you freaking kidding me? Death Cab for Cutie performing Transatlanticism with the LA Philharmonic… and fireworks?! How perfect. I would’ve killed to see that live.
Thanks to all of you who have sent me kind words regarding my new website. I truly appreciate your feedback and I am working on adding more stuff to view. My job hunt is well underway. I don’t want to speak much more about it (at least until I land a position at a studio somewhere) but I will say that it would mean a lot to me if you’d toss up a prayer for me as I send out these applications. I’m curious and excited to see where I end up, and I am hoping that I’ll find out where that’ll be in the next few weeks.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present chrisarth.com.
Those of you who know me well know that I have had my personal portfolio site in a perpetual “coming soon” stage for about five or six years now. I’ve been toying around with websites since my junior year of high school, and since then I have tried nearly every single content management system I could find. Seriously, I’ve tried almost all of them. My site served mostly as a playground and testing area, where I could learn new methods of presenting work online. I am happy to say that I have finally found a host that I like, and it was finally time to start uploading my work for everyone to see.
Please, give it a visit, and tell me what you think. I will continue to add new things to it and make changes here and there. I welcome all comments, criticism, suggestions, etc.
Thank you for your love and support.

Hello blogging, I’ve missed you.
This weather has been quite a trip. Sunny. Warm. Overcast. Pouring. Freezing. Cloudy. Rinse. Repeat.
Not that I’m complaining (I actually don’t mind the drizzle) but I’m starting to wonder when the sky will pick a side and stick with it.
I fell off the blogging bandwagon. As I laid there on the road, I looked up and saw the beautiful Oregon sky and for a moment—albeit ever so short—I felt a peace and calm wash over me.
And then, I was run over. Multiple times. By the school and work bandwagons, with the senior thesis project trailer following closely behind. Bruised and hurting once again, I remained unsure if I would be able to get back to blogging anytime soon. And while I am still not sure of this, I am happy to report that I have stood up, dusted myself off, and am busy walking along that path with my hitchhikers thumb out.
Graduation or bust.
No, “real life” or bust. That’s better.

Good Design in Ten Commandments
Dieter Ram’s ten principles of design. Very inspiring. It’s truly incredible to view the work Dieter did for Braun and realize how far ahead of its time all of it was.
